Guide to Google Adsense: Make Money Online

Nikki Freeman
In a recent article I discussed the Adbrite PPC Program and how it works. I also made it clear that I have had more luck with Adbrite than the Google Adsense Program. But, I keep both Google Adsense and Adbrite on my website, because both programs have benefits, and both are worth utilizing when monetizing your website/blog.

Google Adsense has come a very long way in making it easy to monetize your website using their ads. You can now customize the ads fairly well, and the more content I have on my blog, the more they are finding targeted advertisements that match the content within my site.

Here's how Google Adsense works:

Sign up with Google Adsense, and submit your website/blog. They will approve or dissaprove your website based on many factors, but if you have a decent web space, they will approve you. From there you can add multiple monetizing assets onto your site.

Adsense for Content: This type of Adsense is what you are used to seeing for the Google ads. The links with short descriptions underneath them, and a small links that says, "ads by Google."

Adsense for Search: This is allows you, as the website owner, to create a search engine for your users. Everytime your user searches for something and clicks the link, you will get paid. A recent addition to this program is the CUSTOMIZED search for Adsense for Search. You can fully customize the types of links that will show up in the search engine, and even have it only search your website or choose specific websites to search.

Adsense for Referrals: This program allows you to advertise for Google Adsense, Google Adwords, Google Pack and the Google Toolbar. You can customize the link, place it on your site, and everytime a users clicks the link and downloads the Google addition, you get paid!
Google is really expanding on the tools they offer to webmasters and site owners. Google Adsense will only become more customizable and more profitable to those who use it. Sign up and try it out!
