With Halloween coming up soon, many places are gearing up to scare us silly. The Seattle area has a variety of scary events meant to make us scream and enjoy. Here are some of the annual Halloween activities in the Seattle, Washington area to enjoy.

Silver Dollar Casino in Mill Creek, Washington offers its annual Halloween event known as Screamcatcher Haunted Bash. The event is scheduled from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am. Details are not known at print time. However, one can visit them online at www.screamcatcher.com for more information.

Biringer Farms in Everett, Washington has a Halloween celebration called Pumpkin Country. There are a large variety of pumpkins available, something called the Boo Barn is known for providing scares. Woodland Park Zoo, in Seattle, Washington, holds its annual Halloween event titled Pumpkin Prowl. The event is held on October 27 & 28 from 5-9pm and 10/29 from 5-7pm.There are glowing pumpkins and a variety of family-oriented activities for visitors to enjoy. The event is an after hours fundraiser presented by Bartell Drugs. Visitors receive a $2 discount when purchasing their ticket at a Bartell Drug. Tickets are $9 for adults and $7 for kids under 17. Corn mazes are always fun and a great one is located at Stocker Farms in Snohomish County, Washington. The corn maze is titled Boeing 787 Dreamliner Corn Maze. It is a 10-acre maze that averages one to 1-1/2 hours to complete.

When darkness comes around, visitors to the Stocker Farms can enjoy the Field of Screams from 7-10pm. Grim Reapers and ghosts have been known to scare wanderers here in the fields. Visitors can go through the corn maze and the Field of Screams for only $12. The Field of Screams alone is 10.

Remlinger Farms in Carnation, Washington offers their Pumpkin Harvest Festival for visitors to enjoy. Visitors can enjoy inflatable rides, a vertical rock climbing wall, and an adventure house. There are scarecrows, cornstalks, and a slew of pumpkins available for everyone to enjoy. Pumpkins are priced by size. The event is held during the weekend hours. For a scary time in the Seattle, Washington area, head over to the Fright Factory Haunted House in Buckley. This haunted house is reported to not be your country fair type of haunted house. There are actors here that provide visitors with hair-raising, screaming experiences. Think of the Night on Elm Street and you can see what this haunted house provides. The kids can enjoy a less scary version during the matinee, though. There is one matinee on 10/28 at 4pm. Other than that, the haunted house is open from 7-11pm starting October 6, 2006. They like to let visitors and potential guests know that no one will hear you scream. The Haunted House is in an isolated location making for the increased scariness.

If you are heading across Puget Sound to the Olympic Peninsula, go to Fort Worden State Park. There will be a Halloween celebration titled Spooktacular on the grounds there. There are family games, hayrides, storytelling, and crafts planned for this event. Admission is free with a canned food donation.
