Guide to Having a Halloween Wedding

Stephanie
Your wedding day is the most memorable time in your life. Every woman strives for it to be special and not to mention, unique. With Halloween around the corner, why not have a Halloween wedding? Just think of all the pros it has! Invitations, dresses, supplies and decorations will be cheaper. It will truly be unique and unlike anyone else, and its the perfect time of year! Not to hot, unlike the June weddings, and not to cold, like the winter wedding themes. Here are great ideas to think about when having a Halloween themed wedding.

First Thing To Consider: What Time Of Day
The first thing you have to ask yourself is what time of day do you want to have your wedding? Early in the morning, afternoon or at night? Take each of these into consideration before deciding. Weigh out the pros and cons of each decision. The time of day is critical, because each one gives off a different feeling. Early day Halloween, is very Fall. Brown leaves, sticks and etc for centerpieces. If you're wanting a night wedding, this is a great opportunity to show your dark side! Bring out the witches cauldron, ghost and goblin decorations and etc.

Second Thing To Consider: What To Wear
You can go two ways when deciding what to wear for your wedding. You can do a traditional Halloween, by wearing a costume instead of a wedding dress. Can you say money saver? Or if you don't want to go all out, you can wear a beautiful vintage gown. Rather it be black, or something from the medieval times, you're sure to get attention! Now that you're covered, what are your adoring brides maids going to wear? Here are some great options. Why not dress them in dark fairy costumes? Each one can be a different color! For example, one of your brides maids can be black and purple, while another can be black and red. If you don't want costumes, you can give off an elegant vibe, by having your girls wear black silk dresses. What better thing to suit this amazing wedding? Now that's out of the way, how about your groom to be? He can either match you and have a costume, or something more elegant. Why not have him wear a traditional 1700s vampire attire, top hat, cane, the works! Have his groomsmen match him. Now, how about those loving guest! You can ask one of two things; either they can come in their Halloween costume attire, or something more elegant, like a sexy devil, or Elvira! Its all up to you, and what type of vibe you want to give your wedding. Most of all, have fun and be creative!

Third Thing To Consider: Decorations
Depending on what type of vibe you're going for, will determine what decorations you need. If you're going for a traditional Halloween theme, you'll need ghosts from the ceiling, cob webs, plastic spiders on the tables and etc. If you're wanting a more elegant Halloween feel, you'll need some black roses, along with the other wedding color you went with. Rather it was orange, purple, or etc. Scatter these along the tables and floor. Next, for an elegant theme, you need candles of course! Place your wedding colors along the table for centerpieces. Along with roses, and maybe some treats! Why not have a plastic cauldron filled with candy! While guest mingle and talk during your reception, they can have some treats to go along with it.

The dance floor needs to be like not any other! Why not rent a fog machine to make it feel like your dancing at a creepy swamp! This will work for either traditional or elegance.

Fourth Thing To Consider: Music
Don't go with any type of music! Why not have something fun, no matter what theme you're going for. Why not have the Monster Mash play? Its guaranteed to get the guests up and dancing! If you want something more dark, why not have the beautiful sounds of Apocalyptica? They indeed have a classical sound, which sounds dark at the same time. What could be more perfect for this Halloween wedding?

Fifth Thing To Consider: Invitations
Since this is a truly different Halloween theme, it only makes sense that the invitations are as well! Make them black, with white cobwebs on them. Explain to the guest what the theme is, so they know how to dress. Be sure to put your number on it, so if they have any questions, they can reach you. You want everything to be perfect!

A Wedding is the most memorable time in a women's life. Make yours a night that everyone will remember. Show you creative side when planning this Halloween wedding. Remember, its yours, you have the freedom to make it as creepy or traditional as you wish. The most important thing? Just have fun and be happy. Good luck!
