Teresa Wilson
Las Vegas Nevada is a popular vacation or get-away-for-the-weekend destination for many people because of its immense casinos, the gambling, Vegas shows, shopping and even the fantastic buffets. But the Las Vegas area has some beautiful and natural wonders such as Red Rock Canyon for example that are best seen and enjoyed by horseback. On top of a horse and at a slower pace, you can marvel at all the quiet and serenity and the wildlife that abounds in the Las Vegas area. Whether you want to bring your own horse along for a real Nevada vacation or just rent a horse, there are a lot of places to find to ride horses in and around the Las Vegas area. Here is a brief guide to help you find horses and places to ride them when you are in Las Vegas Nevada.

Guide to Finding Horseback Riding in Las Vegas #1: Cowboy Trail Rides

Cowboy Trail Rides is a family-owned horseback riding company that offers several different trail ride adventures. They keep their own horses and have their own cowboys and cowgirls and they individually match each rider to the horse that will best suit their riding ability. The ranch is located only a short distance from the Vegas strip in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

One of the rides offered by Cowboy Trail Rides is the WOW Ride. It lasts approximately five hours and you ride your horse into Red Rock Canyon, past giant boulders and cliffs and see wildlife such as wild burros. This ride may not be for everyone but it really gives the feeling of what life must have been like way out West in the olden days. Prices for the WOW Ride are $329 + $59 For ALL fees, taxes, surcharges per person and there is a two person minimum. You can also arrange transportation from your Vegas hotel out to the ranch. Check out the Cowboy Trails Ride website for all the trail rides offered.

Children must be eight years old or older to ride on a Cowboy Trail Ride and will be required to wear a helmet (which they will provide).
