Guide to LED Christmas Lights - Information on the best LED lights, where to buy them, how to choose, and where to find them priced the best. The first thing that you need to decide when purchasing L.E.D lights for Christmas is what you will be using them for. They come in many different types such as indoor and outdoor. They also come in light strings, nets, icicles,ropes, garland, and different lighted statues. They also come in various colors sizes, shapes, and lengths.

~ If you are going to be using L.E.D lights on the outside of your house for your Christmas decorations make sure that you get the ones marked outside. Measure the length of the area covered by the lights and if you will be needing net lights, string lights or decorations.

~ If you are going to be using L.E.D lights on your tree I would recommend 1 string of lights per foot of the tree but that is up to you. You can find many for the tree these days and they look great.

~ Types Of L.E.D lights :

1: Small, Medium, and Large Cone lights these are the old fashioned lights they are much larger then the standard "mini ice lights" These will draw alot of attention to your holiday light display!

The standard small cone light comes with 35 multi colored bulbs to a strand at 17.6 feet and has green wire. They have a total of 50,000 light hours, can be used indoor and outdoor and can connect with 3 more strands of lights.

The medium cone light comes with 25 lights to a string and the string is 13 feet long. They come in solid colors such as white or muliticolored. They are on a green wire can be used both indoor and outdoor, have 50,000 light hours and connect with up to 3 strands of lights.

The large cone light comes with 25 lights to a string and is 25 feet long. They also come in solid or multicolor strands on green wire, can be used inside and out, can connect end to end with up to 3 other strands. They also have 50,000 usable light hours.

Cone Lighting will cost about 14.00 per strand and can be found at just about any home store or mass merchant. They are a little more expensive then the standard Christmas light but will save money on your energy bill!

Cone Lighting looks great for your outdoor Christmas displays! With the energy efficient LED lighting it will cost a lot less then it did last year to run cone lighting!!

2: Polka Dot and Berry Globe lights these are different then the regular "ice light" they are either a flat looking bulb or a round bulb. These are great for your decorations and Christmas tree.

The standard polka dot light comes in several solid colors and also in multi color. Each strand is a 25 foot string and has 50 colored lights on it. They are on a green wire and sometimes white, can be used indoor and outdoor, have 50,000 light hours and can be connected with up to 3 other strands.

The Berry globe light comes in either small or medium, multi or solid colored, have 35 lights to a strand and are 17.5 feet long. Some solid colored berry globe lights come 70 lights to a strand and are 24 feet long. All globe lighting comes on either a green or white wire and have 50,000 light hours. You can connect these lights with up to three other strands and can be used indoor or outdoor .

Polka dot lighting will cost about 15.00 per strand but are well worth the investment they can be used year after year and will save on energy cost!

Globe Lighting looks great as a different light for your Christmas tree, use them in your garlands, wreaths and for smaller outdoor displays!

3: Standard L.E.D Mini Ice lights these are the traditional tree light, these lights will give you that look that you are used to having on your tree but they are also great for small outdoor displays and decorations.

The L.E.D mini ice light strand is 23.6 feet long, come in a wide variety of colors including solid and multi colored strand. They are on a green wire and sometimes white. They can be used indoor or outdoor can connect with up to 4 other strands and have a 50,000 light life to them. They will save you an average of 90% on your energy bill compared to traditional ice lighting.

The L.E.D ice light also comes in a icicle strand, it has 15 drops, 70 lights to a strand and is 7.5 feet long. They also come in solid or multi color, are on a white wire have a 50,000 hour light life and can connect with up to 3 other strands.

Standard LED Mini ICE lights will cost about 22.00 each and the icicle lights will cost about 18.00 each. This may seem like alot but compared to regular ice lights they consume far less energy and are MORE THEN WORTH the investment!

These are your traditional lights but with the energy efficient upgrade of L.E.D you can use them inside or out and they look great!

These are an absolute must have to update your drab holiday lighting, they come in 5 foot strands that have 20 lights to them, are multicolored can be connected with up to 3 other strands and are the perfect uplift for your decorations. They have 100,000 light hours and are can be used either outdoor or indoor.

They cost about 10.00 each which really isn't bad they will put life into your garlands and areas that need a little extra.

L.E.D rope lighting:

This rope lighting will add a more modern feel to your decorations you can use them just about anywhere indoor and out, they come in 12 foot sections and are either multi or solid colored.

They cost about 15 dollars per section but are great for outlining your roof or other large areas.

L.E.D Statues and Figurines:

You can find these in anything from angels to reindeer they are a great addition to any light display and are very energy efficient compared to yesteryears holiday decorations. They range in price from 10.00 to 100.00 but look great and will save you money.

L.E.D Lighting can be found just about anywhere you would buy Christmas/Holiday Decorations.

Alot of mass merchants and home improvement centers carry a large variety of these items and what can be better then showing off your light display this year and saving a bundle of money on your light bill?
