Hillsborough Animal Services is part of the Hillsborough County government and handles an array of animal needs and services. Their mission is to handle adoptions, take in strays, handle injured or lost animals, and offer spays and neuters for reduced cost. Hillsborough Animal Services also has an animal shelter.
Hillsborough Animal Services is largely responsible for promoting public awareness of events and programs related to helping provide safe and loving homes for animals. Volunteers are always needed to help care for animals and keep the department staffed. Donations are also helpful in providing toys and other amenities for the pets that can't be provided because of budgeting issues.

The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is a limited admission local animal shelter that takes in only those animals that have a chance at adoption. As a "no kill for space" animal shelter, the humane society takes great efforts in ensuring the lives of their animals will not be taken simply to make room for other animals.
The Humane Society is very active in the community and frequently sponsors and coordinate local events that bring pet and human together for fun and play. The Humane Society of Tampa Bay also campaigns to promote awareness of such issues as animal abuse and vaccinations.

Bay Area Greyhound Adoption is a volunteer-driven group dedicated to caring and finding homes for greyhounds. Greyhounds that arrive at the Bay Area Greyhound Adoption group are there for any number of reasons, but the goal for each of the greyhounds is the same, and that is to ensure the adoption and love of each greyhound.
Because volunteers are so important to continuing the cause at Bay Area Greyhound Adoption, you're love and involvement are definitely appreciated by both the staff and the greyhounds in the care there. You brought back memories I had not thought of in years and it made me wonder how I could have left my dog at a shelter who handled only adoptions when I married and moved to another state and a tempory apartment that did not allow dogs. Then it sounded like the only thing to do but now, it sounds heartless looking back. I could never do that with my cat.
