Guide to the Most Anticipated Movies of 2009

There are some great movies coming out this year in 2009. The following movies are the most anticipated of the year.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is the sixth movie in the Harry Potter film series, and it will follow the story line of the sixth book, "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" by J. K. Rowling.

The movie was originally set to release in the United States and the UK on November 21, 2008, but on August 14, 2008 it was announced that the release date would be pushed back. It will now be released on July 17, 2009.

The film is directed by David Yates, who also directed Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the fifth film in the Harry Potter film series. Steve Kloves, who acted as the writer for the first four Harry Potter films, is the screenwriter for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

The movie's cast includes Daniel Radcliff as Harry Potter, Emma Watson as Hermione Granger, and Rupert Grint as Ron Wesley. Albus Dumbledore is played by Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman plays Severus Snape, Tom Felton has the role of Draco Malfoy, and Robbie Coltrane acts as Rubeus Hagrid in the movie.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine: This is another highly anticipated movie coming out this year. The movie is based on the Marvel Comics character Wolverine. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is actually a prequel to the X-Men trilogy films. The movie is set for release on May 1, 2009.

Gavin Hood is the director of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The cast of the movie includes Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine, Troye Sivan as a young Logan, and Will.i.am as John Wraith/Kestrel. In addition, Daniel Henney acts as David North/Agent Zero, Wade Wilson/Deadpool is played by Ryan Reynolds, and Danny Huston acts as William Stryker in the movie.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the sequel to the 2007 movie Transformers. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is due for release on June 26, 2009, and is one of the most anticipated movies of 2009. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg acted as director and executive producer for the first Transformers film, and also act as director and executive producer for the upcoming film.

Shia LaBeuof plays Sam Witwicky, Josh Duhamel acts as Captain William Lennox, Mathew Marsden acts as Graham, and Kevin Dunn and Julie White play Ron and Judy Witwicky. In addition, actors serve as voices for autobots in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. For instance, Peter Cullen does the voice for the autobot Optimus Prime and Mark Ryan does the voice for the autobot Bumblebee.

Public Enemies: Public Enemies is a film based on the book, "Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-34" by Bryan Burrough, and is another of the most anticipated movies of 2009. The film is a crime drama during the Great Depression where the FBI agent Melvin Purvis attempts to stop and capture three criminals: Baby Face Nelson, Pretty Boy Floyd, and John Dillinger.

The cast includes Johnny Depp as John Dillinger, Channing Tatum as Pretty Boy Floyd, and Stephen Graham acting as Baby Face Nelson. The FBI agent, Melvin Purvis is played by Christian Bale. Public Enemies is set for release on July 1, 2009.

Angels & Demons: Angels & Demons is based on the book, "Angels & Demons" by Dan Brown. Even though the book, "Angels & Demons" takes place before the book, "The Da Vinci Code," the movie Angels & Demons is a sequel to the movie The Da Vinci Code, which was released in 2006. Angels & Demons is set to release May 15, 2009.

In Angels & Demons, Tom Hanks plays Professor Robert Langdon who is a professor of symbology at Harvard University. Ayelet Zurer plays Victoria Vetra, Evan McGregor acts as Camerlengo Carlo Ventresca, and Pierfrancesco Favino plays Commander Olivetti.
