Guide to Online Movie Sources

Download Rented Movies Online

Timothy Scheiman
If you get tired of running to the video store or waiting for your rentals from Netflix than Online movie rentals is what you want. A few places have classic and B movies for free. This article examines some of the most popular sources.

Netflix

Netflix has even gotten into the act now. With your Netflix membership you get so many hours to watch movies Online. For example if you have the $17.99 unlimited rental you get up to 18 hours of Online movie viewing. The hours varies according to the plan you have. This is including your monthly CD rentals. The only bad part of it is the movies are not current releases. The Online movie list is about 2,000 movies strong but the majority are some of the best movies but are not the most current. You still have to get the new releases sent to you if you want to watch those.

Vongo

Vongo is part of the Starz network. You can get some current releases but they are usually quite a few months old. Vongo allows you a 14 day free trail and at the end of the trial you pay only $9.95 per month for all the movies you can download and watch. There is no limit to the amount you can download and watch. However some of the movies have date when they expire and are removed from the network. You have until than to download and watch them. Vongo comes with its own player but I used the Windows Media player. Over all Vongo is a good deal but if you want the current new releases Vongo is not the way to go.

Cinema Now

Cinema Now is a rental site. You can buy or rent the movies than download them. They also have a members only movies which consist of mature content. The movies for rent range from $1.99 to $3.99. Most of the current releases are $3.99 to rent and download. They have a vast library of titles and you don't have to wait if there is a particular movie you want to see. You don't have to join the membership to rent any movies.

Movieflix

Movieflix you can watch some movies for free but most of their movies are classics or of B type movies. For $7.95 per month you can join and have access to plus movies which has mature content. You can probably find some old classic B type movies on this site. You will not find and major releases to watch.

Movielink

Movielink is like Cinema Now in that you can download rented movies. Movielink prices are very similar to Cinema Now's. You can rent or purchase movies just like at Cinema Now. Movielink has their own player that you download thats about the only difference between the two.

EZ Movies

EZ Movies costs a one time fee of $29.95 but it is not a file sharing site. There is not any Kaza type format. They have a large database of movies and games. The database is more like a Usenet but with an easier to use download and search interface. Thats about all I can tell you about the site there is no more information available. You can check it out for yourself if you are interested.

There are literally hundreds of other sites to view movies but many are not legal. The ones I talked about here have licenses to rent and sell movies. Except for EZ Movies I can recommend all of these for your movie watching enjoyment.

Great article. I saw an ad on tv for something similar to this the other day. You can actually get online movies through your cable provider now. Crazy, huh? :-)
