Guide to Palazzo Condominiums, Panama City Beach
Palazzo Condominiums Resort Quest Vacation Home Network
Ideal Beach Location Condominiums
Panama City Beach, Florida has begun, over the past few years, to develop the beach area into a cleaner, more family friendly environment. Long known as a party city, Panama City still attracts those who grew up partying in the area, but now have families. The good news is that the northwest end of the beach is rapidly changing to meet the needs of the family.
The location of Palazzo Condominiums is approximately one mile north of Pier Park, the latest shopping, eating, and entertainment development in the area. This is also one mile from the public pier which, once the rebuild is complete, will be available for public fishing and the enjoyment of ocean watchers.
Are you under the impression that Panama City Beach is only a party beach town?
There is a part of Panama City that will always attract young, fun-loving, and a over-the-top teen and young adult partiers. If, however, you are looking for a family friendly beach you need not turn a blind eye to Panama City. The party scene has moved from what was formerly known as the strip, to Thomas Drive. Families who once enjoyed Thomas Drive have moved further northwest of Panama City Beach and now enjoy a less aggressive, yet no less relaxing and entertaining vacation on the beautiful white sugar sands of Panama City Beach.
Palazzo is located in the newer, family oriented part of Panama City Beach. It is in this area that many new construction and renovation projects are taking place. It is perfect for a couple looking for privacy or a family with young kids who are intimidated by the wild antics on the southern end of Panama City Beach.
Benefits of Palazzo Beach Resort Condominium
The most attractive thing about Palazzo on this vacation was the price. The cost was approximately $150 per night for a one room condo, with bunk beds in a separate hallway, two bathrooms, and a queen size sleeper sofa. This is an amazing price for a condo on Panama City Beach.
The price this year may be due to the economy and fewer vacationers. Whatever the reason, the price is definitely worth the benefits of staying at the Palazzo Beach Resort in Panama City Beach, Florida.
I've seen the day when much cheesier hotels rented for far more than the $150. The luxuries and amenities offered at Palazzo Condominiums at Panama City Beach makes it well worth the price.
Amenities of Palazzo Resort Quest, Panama City Beach
I have three primary requirements for any accommodations at the beach location. I want a room with a view of the ocean. I really like want a nice gym with cardio equipment and, at a minimum, a few free weights. The other thing I absolutely insist on is clean accommodations.
Palazzo Beach Resort met and exceeded all of these expectations. It is a new condominium, so it was in great condition. All condos are beachside, so view was not a problem, although you do need to specify if you want the master bedroom with a view. And the gym was great. Palazzo Resort in Panama City Beach Florida had two modern treadmills, two modern elliptical, and a bike, all with variable programs and heart monitors. There were also six different weight machines. Each machine enabled you to do a minimum of two different exercises on each one. Some accommodated up to three different exercises.
My amenity conditions were met. You probably have different requirements. With this in minds, you should know that other amenities included: an inside parking deck; outdoor pool designed especially with kids in mind; a hot tub; beach chairs and umbrella are complimentary with condo rental; the pool is on level two which keeps transient beach bathers from walking up to the pool; and the condos offered one complimentary movie rental per day; rooms come with washers, dryers, and dishwashers .
The pool and hot tub was cleaned daily
Palazzo Resort Quest, Panama City Beach, is within one mile of the new Pier Park, the new central location for eating, shopping, and movie going. It is also within one mile of the public fishing pier, which as of June 2009, is still in the process of renovation.
Cons of renting a condo at Palazzo at Panama City Beach
There aren't many cons when you rent a condo at Palazzo, Panama City Beach. If anything, the only suggestion I would make is for them to have someone available at the front desk after hours. Instead, if you check in after hours you use an awkward check-in box, which contains packages for all late check-ins. We checked in at 6pm and the desk in the lobby was already closed.
The other suggestion would be to have signs directing you to the lobby. Unlike most condominiums or hotels at Panama City Beach, check in and the lobby is not on the first floor. You have to walk in the parking deck, because at this point you don't have a gate code, and explore until you find the elevators. I don't want to make that sound like an enormous task, the elevators are easy to locate. Again, it was just a bit awkward.
Overall Experience at Palazzo Resort, Panama City Beach
We had a great stay at Palazzo. For those times when we needed assistance and no one was on duty at the front desk there was always a helpful and friendly security guard ready and willing to help. It was obvious they were interested in not only guest protection, but keeping their guests' needs met, as well.
All Palazzo staff was friendly and customer service oriented. I noticed on several occasions that they went out of their way to meet guest needs.
I recommend Palazzo Resort, Panama City for affordable, family friendly, clean accommodations in Panama City Beach. I have my favorite condos in Panama City Beach, but I would definitely visit Palazzo Resort again.
