Guide to Printing Double Sided Pages

Have you gone green when printing papers; meaning have you decided that you're no longer going to waste paper by only printing on one side? Well if you have, or if you've just decided that you need to print on both sides of a paper, then I'm going to teach you how to do it! Yes, it's an easy process to do, and in this article you will learn how to go about changing your printer settings in order to achieve a double-sided printing anytime that you need it.

Complete Steps:

1. Go to Start, then to Control Panel and wait for the screen to come up.
Note: If you do not know what your Control Panel is and you're scared to click on it because you know it contains important information, go ahead and click it, nothing is going to happen.

2. Once you're there click on the icon that has a computer and a mouse and reads Printers and Other Hardware.
Note: If you have your Control Panel in Classic View then look for the icon called Printers and Faxes.
Tip: You can set your Control panel to Category View by clicking on the link that says that on the left hand side top menu; this will make your CP look a lot more fresh and Windows XP like.

3. Once you're there, you will see all of the printing or faxing devices. Look for the printer that you use.
Tip: If you do not see any printer there then that means that you have not installed one. If you know that you do have one and it's connected, you're going to have to reinstall the printer software again that comes in a CD.

4. Click on the Advanced tab and then look to the bottom for the Printing Defaults button which you will click. Once you have clicked on it look for the Print Layout tab or button and there you will see something that will let you pick Two-Sided printings.

5. Check the Two-Sided box or click on it and finalize this by clicking Ok to that window and then Ok the printer properties as well.
Tip: If later on you wish to set your settings to not print double-sided anymore, you can just repeat this process and in step 5 chose to not print double sided by clicking on another or un-checking the box.

Now you are done! Print out whatever you want and make sure that you have the paper ready. You should note that some printers already come equipped to print double-sided pages; check out your printer guide or box in which it came to find this out. If you have anymore trouble try calling the printer help number that also comes with your printer guides and happy printings!
