Underwater Kauai is just as beautiful as above water Kauai. If you want to see tropical fish, sea turtles, and lava caves, check out scuba diving on Kauai. There are great scuba guides on the island, those who offer introductory courses for the first timer and those with great dives for the experienced. The following is a guide to scuba diving on the island of Kauai.

If you are looking for an all inclusive dive experience, check out Fathom Five Divers and Ocean Quest Watersports (they are both owned by the same couple, George and Jeanette Thompson). Fathom Five is located on the south shore and specializes in boat scuba diving. They have a fleet of boats and will cater to your needs, whether you are a first time diver or seasoned pro, you will be well taken care of. Fathom Five Divers has multiple packages ranging in price from $120 to $345. They have day and night dives and even an all day dive trip to the island of Niihau. Ocean Quest Watersports, located on the north shore, specializes in shore dives. They take small groups, no more than four people, on south and north shore dives, including dives at Tunnels and night dives. Prices range from $70 to $120. These two dive shops are fantastic and are a great choice for all divers.

Mana Divers, located on the south shore in Eleele, is another great dive shop on Kauai that offers some fantastic scuba diving. Mana Divers has a wide array of services, including classes for beginners and scuba certification. Their guided dive tours are small, usually no more than four people per dive guide, and they pride themselves on making the dive experience comfortable, fun and informative. Mana Divers is an eco friendly tour, they do not feed the fish nor do they tamper with their environment. They also want their guests to really enjoy their experience, so no rushing. Mana Divers is very customer friendly and great for all divers.

Bubbles Below is another great dive shop on Kauai. They offer dives on the south and west shores, and are known to have scouted out some of the best dive spots on the island. They have both shore and boat dives. They offer scuba courses and certification on their shore dives. Bubbles Below is also very eco-friendly and hope to impart the importance of maintaining the integrity of the ocean to their guests.

The island of Kauai is a diver's paradise. There are a number of dive shops that offer a variety of different dives to meet anyone's needs. This guide to scuba diving on the island of Kauai will get you started on your diving adventure.
