Guide to Selecting Bath and Body Works Products: Moisturizers

SE
If you've been in a Bath and Body Works lately, you may have felt the choices are overwhelming. There are many different products as well as different scents to choose from. It can be hard to determine which product you need, so here's an easy guide for you.

Let's say you've headed into Bath and Body Works for a moisturizer. After a few minutes of browsing, you have probably spotted the six most common moisturizers. Which kind do you need?

Body lotion is one of the most popular products Bath and Body Works has carried. It is a light moisturizer with a light scent, perfect for everyday use on any skin type. If you have average skin and want a "regular" moisturizer, a body lotion is a good choice.

The purely silk body lotions also provide a light scent. These lotions contain silk proteins for an added level of moisture. If you want your skin to feel silky, not just soft, purely silk body lotions may be for you.

If you want your skin to be soft and have a shimmer to it, select a shimmer lotion. These provide a light shimmer that does not transfer to your clothes. However, shimmer lotions are not always available in all scents. They are limited editions. You will have a good selection of fragrances at any given time, though.

Body creams are much richer and thicker than body lotions. These are best for those with those with really dry skin, or for use on trouble spots like knees. Don't let the thick appearance of the body cream fool you - your skin will not be left feeling greasy.

If you have a specific concern regarding your hands being especially dry, try a hand repair healing hand cream. This product provides heavy duty moisturizing to the hands (cuticles included), and provides protection against moisture loss as well.

Lastly, you may have noticed the healing body butters. Like the body creams, these are great for trouble spots. The healing body butters are also good for those with exceptionally dry skin and don't think the body creams will do the trick. The body butters also improve the skin's own moisture barrier.

Since each moisturizer at Bath and Body Works is designed to do something a little different, uncovering your own skin concerns are key. Once you know you want a light moisturizer for your body, and something more intense for you hands, for example, you should zero in on body lotion and a hand repair healing hand cream.
