Guide to Spring Comedies for Parents

Monica Bullock
Spring TV can be exciting for kids. Some shows look great and appropriate on the surface, but after a short time you could be in trouble. And answering your child's questions. We've kid proofed our selections so you can be sure that these shows are right for you and your family. Check out our guide to spring comedies for parents.

Wipeout!

Here is a reality show that's also a comedy. This show is a interesting cross between Fear Factor and Funniest Videos. Each week contestants compete for a cash prize but it's not that easy. With three hosts, John Henson, John Anderson and Jill Wagner you'll stay entertained as the contestants enter sometimes muddy, messy and always difficult contests. You and your family will laugh at some of the comedic events unfold on ABC's Wipeout. It premieres on Sunday February 1st.

The Unusuals

Another show from ABC is the Unusuals. It's just that. Although it takes place in a homicide unit, don't worry. It is full of gags, pranks and humor as these detectives and have lots of law but little order. The stars of this show are Jeremy Renner and Amber Tamblyn. You'll love the lighter side of the law with this ABC show.

The Cleveland Show

Don't miss Fox's new spring comedies for parents and families alike. A spin off of the hit TV show Family Guy, Cleveland and his high school sweetheart have a funny life together. This animated shows chronicles the marriage and family life of Cleveland. He tries to realize his goal of being Donna's Prince Charming, however he's a little late. Donna has already been married and brings her difficult children with her when she marries Cleveland. You'll love this spring comedy on Fox.

Zip

NBC brings back Steven Weber as the star of their new show, Zip. Weber plays Trip Stringer a lovable, ne'er do well from California. Trip Stringer is a single dad raising his two sons with tongue in cheek humor. We are glad to see Weber back in a comedy. We loved him in Wings! In this show, Trip Stringer takes on challenging jobs to make ends meet and sort of muddles through parenting. We recommend this show because we love seeing humorous, single dads! Check with NBC on a premiere date.

Game Show In My Head

No guide to spring comedies would be complete without this one. Game Show In My Head! Ashton Kutcher thought of this hilarious show. Contestants embarass themselves to make money. Based loosely on the popular show Candid Camera, you'll see host Joe Rogan spice things up by challenging contestants to perform tasks for money. Who can beat that? This show airs on Saturdays at 7:00PM Central Time.
