The Albright-Knox
Of all the museums and galleries I have visited, the Albright-Knox remains my favorite. Enjoy Renoir sculptures, contemporary art and more. The Albright-Knox is located at 1285 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo, New York 14222-1096. For more information please call 716.882.8700.
The Anchor Bar
The Anchor Bar is where the first Buffalo wings were born. If you like chicken wings, and you enjoy them Buffalo style, head to the Anchor Bar.
The Anchor Bar is open Mondays through Thursdays from 11 am until 10 pm, Fridays from 11 am until midnight, Saturdays from noon until midnight, and on Sundays from noon until 10pm.
The Anchor Bar is located at 1047 Main Street in Buffalo, New York 14209. For reservations please call (716) 884-4083. For more information please call (716) 853-1791.
While in Buffalo, you also need to head over the border to Niagara Falls. The Canadian side has better views. When I went it was easy enough to stop and tell the border patrol we were going to Niagara Falls for the day.
Now crossing the border is a little different. If you plan to be in the Buffalo, New York area and think you may want to head to Niagara Falls, be prepared. Anyone in your travel party who is 19 or older needs to have "two forms of secure documents" to enter Canada and to regain entry into the U.S. For more information about acceptable documents, visit U.S. Customs and Border Security web site.
Walden Galleria
For the shoppers, there is the Walden Galleria. This mall is huge, with more than 200 stores, a movie theater and the Cheesecake Factory. The Walden Galleria is open Mondays through Thursdays from 10am until 9:30pm, Saturdays from 01am until 9:30pm, and on Sundays from11am until 6pm.
Walden Galleria is located at One Walden Galleria in Buffalo, NY 14225. For more information please call (716) 681-7600
