Secondly, McAfee AntiVirus, over time, can become corrupted or bloated and need to be reinstalled. Lastly, there are times in which other software programs or hardware can have conflicts with McAfee AntiVirus, therefore you will need to uninstall the McAfee suite in order to use those programs or devices.
If you find yourself in any of these situations and need to uninstall the McAfee AntiVirus suite, then follow this simple guide. Just a warning for you, make sure to install some anti-virus software on your computer before you browse the internet or download or install software.

Removal using the McAfee Removal Tool
There are instances when the automatic removal of McAfee products will fail. If this happens, you will need the McAfee Consumer Product Removal Tool. To use the MCPR, follow these instructions:
1) Follow this link to download the MCPR removal tool. When prompted, save the file to your desktop.
2) Close all McAfee Applications that you are currently running. Double-click on MCPR.exe on your desktop to launch the program. Windows Vista users will need to either be logged in as an administrator, or run the program as administrator to continue.
3)After the tool finishes, you will be prompted to restart your computer. Do this.
4) Once your computer restarts, your McAfee products will be uninstalled.
Uninstalling McAfee, couldn't be simpler. But before you continue onto any other computer tasks, make sure you have some sort of antivirus installed. If you don't, you are risking hardware and data loss.
