No doubt, you've gotten fed up with being redirected and want to uninstall the program, but every time you do so from Add/Remove Programs, it just keeps popping back up. Don't worry, this self replicating program is easy to get rid of once you have the right tools.
For their own sake, Get Mirar has put out its own uninstaller, which can be found by going to remove.getmirar.com, but seeing as the program itself is parasitic in nature, it is probably best to steer clear of their solutions. Here are a few ways to get rid of the problem using resources you may already have on your computer and some others that can get the job done for you.
Norton Anti-virus, AVG, McAffee, Etc.
If you are running Norton, the first thing you should do is update your virus definitions, as Symantec has determined that the Mirar Tool bar exists as either MirarSetup.exe, WinDmy.dll, NN_Bar21.dll, installer.cab, or WinNB[xx].dll ([xx] = Version Number), and by downloading the newest definitions, Norton will be able to isolate and remove the files. One you have updated your virus definitions, you will have to shut down all Internet Explorer windows and tabs, as you cannot remove a program that is currently running on your system. Then simply run you anti-virus scan to remove the files and the program.
Repeat these steps if you are using AVG, McAffee, or any other anti-virus program.
Spyware Removal Tools
If you'd rather use a spyware removal tool instead, here is a nifty list of programs that should be able to get rid of the pesky varmint:
Spyhunter's Mirar Toolbar Scanner
Spybot - Search and Destroy 1.5.2
As with the anti-virus software, even if you are downloading for the first time, it is best to run the updater as soon as you install to ensure that you have the most current definitions. This will ensure you are eliminating every instance of the problem.
At the end of all this, you will have a newfound respect for being careful with downloads and what adware they have packed with them. If it asks you to install adware during the install phase, it is probably safe to say you don't need it.
