Guide to Value Resort Hotels at Walt Disney World

There are many reasons to choose a hotel located within the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, when planning your vacation. Besides being in the middle of the magic, guests at Walt Disney World owned resorts also benefit from several services only available to guest staying at Walt Disney World. Cost, however, can be prohibitive. Some of the Deluxe resorts can cost upwards of $500 per night, however, there are other options. Walt Disney World has a class of hotels they refer to as Value Resorts. These are lower cost, family friendly hotels on Walt Disney World property and genially cost from $79 to $159 per night depending on the season. While not as close to the theme parks as some of the higher cost options, they offer many of the same benefits as staying at a higher priced resort.

By staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, guest can use Disney's Magical Express service which is a free bus service from the Orlando International Airport directly to Walt Disney World (and back at the end of your stay). The bus will take you to your hotel or, if you wish, directly to the theme parks while your bags will be taken to your room. And it's all free for guests of any Walt Disney World hotel.

Staying on property allows guests to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours feature which gives guests at Walt Disney World owned resorts extra time in the theme parks (before and/or after the announced operating hours). Theme park admission is required, but you'll avoid long lines at the some of the most popular attractions. Extra Magic Hours are usually limited to one park per day, but are generally held each day of the week and rotated between the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom parks.

Finally, one of the best reasons to stay at a hotel located within the Walt Disney World Resort is the use of the Walt Disney World Transportation network. All value resorts are connected to other parts of Walt Disney World by bus (unlike some Deluxe resorts such as Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, which are connected by monorail). The busses take guests to other on-property resorts, theme parks, and the Ticket and Transportation Center (from which guests can connect to other busses, watercraft, and the monorail system).

Disney's Pop Century Resort
