Guide to WWE and Jakks Pacific's Treacherous Trios 5

DX, Rey Mysterio, and Others Highlight This Impressive Collection

Jakks Pacific and the WWE often release 2-packs of figures, but sometimes they go all out and release three packs of popular wrestlers, known as the Treacherous Trios collection. Series 5 is packed with some of the most popular WWE superstars split up into three great sets. Here is a detailed look at Series 5 from Triple H to Randy Orton.

The first set includes Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Jonathan Coachman. The Triple H and Shawn Michaels figures represent their tandem as Degeneration X in 2006 and one of their rivals was Jonathan Coachman, the executive assistant who wanted to please Vince McMahon and put an end to DX forever. Shawn Michaels figure is dressed in a pair of DX pants, but it also comes with another pants accessory that you can place over them. Triple H is wearing a Degeneration X shirt and DX trunks and his figure has a look of aggression in his face. Johnatahn Coachman is wearing a black suit with a blue dress shirt, ready to conduct any business he has with DX or the rest of the roster.

Accessories that are included in this nice set are an extra pair of pants for Shawn Michaels, Triple H's sledgehammer, and the Coach's microphone and sunglasses. Oddly enough the set also includes a replica cheese pizza. An odd choice, but could be from the one episode of Raw that DX held a backstage party.

The second set in this collection features a feud that led to Rey Mysterios' loss of his World Heavyweight Championship. Mysterio is featured in the package along with his former friend Chavo Guerrero and Booker T. It was during a World Title match that Chavo turned on Rey Mysterio and allowed Booker T to take advantage and gain the victory. Mysterio is dressed in a black Rey Mysterio t-shirt, green wind pants, and a mask that matches the pants. Booker T is not decorated like his King Booker character but is still nicely detailed with all white ring gear and good replication of his hair. Chavo Guerrero is dressed in a pair of jeans and black T-Shirt because he did not participate in the match for the title.

The accessories that come with this set are a replica World Title belt and a replica black steel chair. This is nice set because it reflects a particular storyline and does not just feature three random superstars packed together.

The last set in this series really should have been a four pack. It features Randy Orton, Edge, and Carlito all packed together. To make this go true with the storylines than it should have also included Ric Flair because this represents the matches that Carlito and Ric Flair had with Edge and Randy Orton as the tag team Rated RKO. Nonetheless it is a nice set with three great figures. Edge's figure has him dressed in his red wrestling pants that feature the Rated R superstar logo on them.

The Randy Orton figure features the superstar in black wrestling trunks and recreates his tattoos nicely. Carlito's figure has him dressed in an orange Carlito shirt with matching shorts that all have apple logos on them. His afro is nicely done too and shows the work that Jakks puts into their figures.

All three sets are nice collections and feature a lot of great rivalries from the WWE in 2006. The bets set in the collection is probably the DX and Coach one because of the amount of accessories and nice detail that is put into the figures.
