Guitar Hero 5 reviews are already streaming in.Guitar Hero 5 reviews are being made by both established gaming sites and at home users, and the end result has been mostly positive. Several gaming web-sites, including IGN.com are giving it superb ratings, with IGN scoring it at 8.9 out of 10 and giving it an Editor's Choice Award. That's pretty high praise for the game already, as Guitar Hero 5 was just released by Activision on Tuesday, September 5th to the masses. It's good news for both the developers at Neversoft Entertainment and the distributors, because it shows that there is still a strong market for sequels to the game.

Guitar Hero 5 is the latest installment in the series which seeks to combine classic rock anthems and player control to create a concert like experience for the games players. Players can customize their game playing experience to include any combination of instruments in the game, adjusting to have two or three guitars, or even two drums to set it up just the way that they want their game to be. New game play options in Guitar Hero 5 are going to make it even more fun for players, including a Party Play and RockFest mode, which will increase the competition level for players that are feeling very advanced in the game.

Guitar Hero 5 is being released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and PlayStation 2, and it is selling for a price of $59.99 at most stores. A few stores are selling it slightly cheaper in order to draw in additional customers these first few days, so look around and you might find a great deal in your neighborhood. There is also a new song list to go along with Guitar Hero 5 (linked on Page 2) and that should provide hours of fun to those interested in the new and rocking song list. It will also be an interesting anecdote as to whether the new song listing will help sell more units of Guitar Hero 5 in the long run.

Many of the online comments coming along with the Guitar Hero 5 review have been positive. One user noted that the game was "impressive after previous efforts", and that the "graphics are improved considerably and the guest characters look great." Another user noted that "I fired the game up and went to party play, which is a nice change, it eliminates everything that might put a damper on the game (the star system, score, and etc) it's really just about having fun." Things are looking good so far in the reviews of Guitar hero 5, and if that continues, this could turn out to be a very successful entry into the gaming market.
