Fun Factor:
The game allows you to design a character that is your rock-god-alter-ego. The next great thing about this game is the capability to add the entire rock band. You can purchase drums and a microphone and perform with up to 4 people. This is exceptional because each person is integral to the band's performance. The drummer, singer, and guitar players all rock together. This makes for good, clean, ageless fun. There is also a "cool" factor that goes along with this game. Its automatic that everyone will think you are cool if you play Guitar Hero.
This game also has a skill level involved that makes you feel good when you accomplish your goal of making it through a song but it pushes you to want to get better as you see your score. Its easy to learn. There are only four buttons and the strum bar, that is it unless you want to play on a more challenging level then there are 5 buttons. This is great for those people who do not usually play video games and do not get the concept of "combos" and all the fancy buttons that go along with the typical xbox360 controller.
In conclusion this game makes you want to play it over and over again. Its money well spent. Opt to get two guitars (the guitar is the actual controller) so you can play against an opponent. You do not even have to get competitive with it, just do your best and see how you stack up against each other. Just don't play it so much that you get a cramped up shoulder and need a deep tissue message. That is the only drawback.
Take it a step futher and invite friends over for a Guitar Hero party. It is so fun to watch people play when they throw in some "rock moves" or sing their hearts out and miss the lyrics. It is hillarious to watch your friends make total idiots out of themselves or on the flip side play so well that our jwas hit the floor and we "fall in love" with them as would a real rock star. The element of realism lets you unleash your imagination and really "be" a Guitar Hero!
