Guitar Hero: World Tour - Not a Good Thing for Kids?

A lot of articles have been written on the technical aspects of Guitar Hero: World Tour and how it does this and does that, so let's just get right down to basics and say it like it is - this game is a ton of fun for the whole family!

Guitar Hero: World Tour plays on Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360. For those that don't know what Guitar Hero is, it's an interactive game where you play a guitar shaped controller to simulate the playing of music. It's musical karaoke with an instrument. Grab the guitar, turn on the game, pick your song, and become a rock star. It's that simple.

So, why should kids worry and current family units be in jeopardy? Guitar Hero could very well force families to communicate and children may have to fight with their parents over who gets to play what song. Grandma can strum away to a Willie Nelson classic while dad battles little Charlie to see who can best crank out that Bon Jovi melody. And mom? Well, she can take center stage and rock away to Credence Clearwater Revival all night long if she wants.

The Guitar Hero: World Tour game is easy to play, although the graduating levels of difficulty make it an interesting challenge to any who pick up the guitar and start strumming. After playing for a bit, you forget it's just a game and that you're not really a musician - it's that good.

If there's a negative about Guitar Hero: World Tour it's not worth mentioning. This interactive game will have families turning off prime time TV and start playing together again. And let's not forget to mention that unlike most popular games today, Guitar Hero fails to deliver on violence and simply provides hours of enjoyable family entertainment.

Read up on all that technical stuff if you want. Find out that you can download songs and dress your avatar up to be as wild and crazy as you like. Spend your hours researching Guitar Hero: World Tour if that's your thing, but the easiest way to learn about World Tour is to pick up your kids Guitar Hero instrument and see what fun is all about. Go for it - become a rock star!
