Guitar Lessons in Spartanburg, South Carolina

My daughter decided this past November that she wanted to learn to play the guitar. So after considering the consequences of buying her a musical instrument, one that she would be home practicing everyday. I bought her a beautiful, dark blue guitar that resembled one I'd seen on a Hannah Montana show my daughter was watching one afternoon. Of course, after I had shelled out nearly $150.00 for the guitar, she informs me that she needs professional lessons. So we began to hunt for a professional guitar teacher in our area who would teach my daughter what she needed to know to become the next Joan Jett, and not charge us a fortune in the process.
I thought it would be hard to find someone in our little area of Spartanburg, S.C., but surprisingly it wasn't. There are many qualified schools and teachers in South Carolina that excel in teaching you or your child how to play just about any musical instrument from the piano to the cello, and yes, even the guitar.

The classes we chose were given at the T.K. Gregg Recreation Center, which is located in Spartanburg, S.C.
They have several accredited teachers who offer classes in guitar, voice and piano. These classes are every Tuesday night from 4 until 7:30. The time of your class will depend on what skill you choose to master, such as guitar or voice. Guitar classes are once a week for 30 minutes and cost just $50.00 per month, which is $12.50 per class. By far the least expensive price I found in Spartanburg for guitar lessons. These classes are offered by the center to benefit the children in the community and are often taught by volunteers. If you are interested in any of the classes T.K Gregg offers you can call them at 864-596-3720

The Music And Arts Center located at 1450 W.O. Ezell Blvd. in Spartanburg, also offers guitar lessons to adults and children alike. These classes last for an average of 30 minutes once a week and cost $125.00 per month. They are taught by qualified teachers who take pride and pleasure in teaching you or your child a valuable skill that you will be able to use to bring enjoyment to others.

Eastside Guitars and Drums at 1290 Woodruff Rd, in Greenville S.C. is one of the best music schools in the area. They sell top quality products as well as offer classes in learning to play different instruments. The only requirement they have is that children must be over 8 years old. As in most of the music schools, the guitar lessons are once a week for 30 minutes. Their accredited teachers will be happy to arrange class times around your schedule. The classes are just $20.00 a week and must be paid monthly. You can visit them on the web at www.eastsideguitarsanddrums.com. And if you want to find out about some of the teachers click on lessons once you are on the site.

The A And M Music School in Gaffney S.C. is a small, but fully qualified music school. It's true they are a small school with only one instructor, but are truly excellent for one on one personal lessons. The guitar classes are relatively inexpensive at only $15.00 per class, but they must be paid in advance one month at a time. These private classes are once a week for 30 minutes.

All of the classes offered by the different schools are private with fully qualified instructors who guarantee if you put in 100% of your ability into learning, you will be playing the guitar within a few months. It usually takes anywhere from 2 to 5 months to learn everything and be able to play.
