Gullible Women

Paula Brown
Being loved
By him Is a curse
The devil
Could not

Curse her more

But was it love?
She thought it was.
He knew it wasn't.
To really love a man
You must be
A woman
Not a dependant
Seeking affection

Not caring
Who is attached
To that man

You crave

And appear to bury

Yourself in
It is disgusting
To crave
The devil
Who only
Craves to satisfy

Himself

It is disgusting to
lower yourself into
self pity

You can't visit him
You can't call him
He can only call you when she is not there
You can't see him
Only speak briefly on the phone
You can't cook for him, go away with him.
Is this life?
But we see
Only life
When our
Hearts are
Stolen by him

But the woman who falls for this is gullible
It wasn't he who stole her heart.
She was weak and naive
She allowed him to break and enter
She was educated
But not in the game of life
And who releases
her from this torment?

Not the scamp
that she thinks lives with him
Not him for she allowed him
to invade her being

Only she can release herself

She must Run for cover
And seek her
Own liberation
Through her tears
Through her fears
Through her loss
Run for cover
And then emerge A new!
The meaning
Of rebirth & resurrection
Is recovering
From an affair
And learning how to end it.
