Gun Training for Atlanta Residents
Neighborhood: city
Atlanta, GA 30534
United States of America
Like most big cities today, Atlanta has some serious crime. With the influx of millions of illegal aliens, the proliferation of violent gangs and the appearance of new, more violent gangs from south of the border, there are threats to property and life that didn't exist before to the same degree. School violence is up and many people are afraid to let their children go down the street to play because of the saturation of internet porn that feeds child molesters. It's not all doom and gloom, however, because people are learning to be careful and are taking courses on self-defense. But for some, this isn't enough. They want to be able to defend their families from violent home invasions. They want to be able to protect themselves in the event of a carjacking. The good news is that there are many different training courses for self-defense and a number of places where citizens can learn how to handle a handgun and all the safety rules involved with its use.

The Knowledge Shop is giving classes in gun safety and handling skills on May 30 and again in August. The course is taught by Mike Williams, a three-time combat veteran and an instructor at the U.S. Army Police School. Students will learn how to expertly use a gun and the techniques of marksmanship and steps toward shooting like an expert. The course costs $69 with a materials fee of $15. It will be in Atlanta, May 30, 6:20 p.m.-9:20 p.m. The August training is on the 28th, in Marietta, and will be at the same time. Call The Knowledge Shop or contact them at 180 Cobb Parkway S • Suite C24 • Marietta, GA 30060 • (678) 766-6666.

The LEO Training Group gives training to civilians on gun-handling and safety through classroom instruction and live fire exercises. They teach all about the makeup of a gun, its features, maintenance and storage., loading and unloading. They also teach some legal issues involved in using a gun, which is very important if one is to use it for protection. The course costs $99 for three hours of training. There is an advanced course for follow-up and also one on tactical skills like speed-loading. But their assault Prevention course would probably be one that all people should take since it also focuses on avoidance, escapes and other strategies. Private instruction courses are available for $125 as well. Call these folks at (866) 676-0554. The LEO Training Group, 379 Athens Boat Club Rd.,Dawsonville, GA 30534-7480.

The Civilian Marksmanship Program's Small Arms Firing School is a great source for training at all levels of gun use. While it is not in Atlanta, residents of this town as well as those anywhere else in the country should look at their Camp Perry Summer School training. The instruction if probably some of the best you can get anywhere at this price. The check-in for the school is Sunday, 8 July. Classroom instruction and practice firing is on Monday, 9 July. The M9 Match will be held on Tuesday, July 10. but nobody has to attend this. It's the training you want. Some may want to stay just to observe some fine marksmanship, however. The school teaches the highest caliber of gun safety and sound target shooting skills, and total beginners are more than welcome to attend. It's also open to "experienced shooters who want a refresher course in service pistol and bullseye pistol target shooting and who would like to compete in the M9 EIC Match." Registration fees are $40.00 for adults and $30.00 for juniors. While the school is in Ohio, it is well worth the travel to spend the day required for course completion. All SAFS students receive M9 pistols to fire and the ammunition for practice. They also get a SAFS T-shirt and certificate, needed for application for gun purchase and carry permit. There's a USAMU a USAMU Service Pistol Guide included too. Contact them from the web site to check it out and make application arrangements.

I'm sorry but did you really say porn on the Internet causes child molestation? Gun training and self defense is very important but you don't have one valid argument. Just wondering where you get your information from.
