G-Unit's Terminate on Sight: Solid Group Effort

Can the G-Unit Recapture the Success of 2004?

It seems as if the rap group G-Unit is destined to find controversy. Recently, the four-man rap group became a trio after member Young Buck was kicked out of the group. Now the original three-man group is back together. However, some of Young Buck's verses remain on the album. Will the controversy help G-Unit reclaim their success on their latest album, Terminate on Sight?

The first single off of Terminate on Sight is the Stereo produced I Like The Way She Do It. The song is the perfect choice for a first single. The track features the typical commercial 50 that you expect. The track also features a verse from Young Buck.

The second single is the Rick Rock produced Rider Part 2. The track is what you expect from a street track from the G-Unit. This song also features a verse from Young Buck. The song is fairly catchy.

The legendary Dr. Dre produced Money Make The World Goes Round. Considering the track was produced by Dr. Dre, the beat is not all that interesting. The song is just average and nothing special.

Swizz Beatz joins the G-Unit on Get Down. The song features a very characteristic beat from Swizz Beatz and solid verses from the G-Unit. The song is one of the best tracks on the album.

Young Buck once again teams with his former G-Unit cohorts on The Party Ain't Over. The song is a solid track which could be a future single.

Kitty Kat is produced by rapper and producer Polow Da Don. The beat is not the strongest production wise on the album and the chorus is also lacking.

Straight Outta Southside contains a similar feel to N.W.A.'s legendary Straight Outta Compton. The song is the perfect way to open the album as it captures the feel and the essence of the album.

DJ Don Cannon produces Let It Go which features Mavado. The song features an interesting sample and shows off Lloyd Banks' increasing lyrical ability.

On Tha Bizness produced Piano Man, the G-Unit are once again joined by former member Young Buck. The song features a very unique beat.

Terminate on Sight is a very solid album. It is not as well-constructed as Beg For Mercy. However, it is a solid group effort. The star of the album is definitely Lloyd Banks, who is destined for great things as a lyricist. Overall Terminate on Sight gets 7.5 out of 10. If you are a fan of the G-Unit make sure you pick up Terminate on Sight.
