Why Gustmans? Well, lots of reasons...
First of all is their excellent service department.
I have personal taken my car there on several occasions when it had mechanical problems. It was a little older car, and I was expecting them to try to sell me something newer. Instead they treated me like a king, fixed the problem, and even offered me a car to drive while mine was being fixed. On one occasion I took them up on it and they gave me an almost brand new car to drive for a couple of days.
Second - The Price was reasonable
They did not do extra repairs that were not needed, they fixed what I asked to be fixed and fixed it right. One of my cars needed extensive engine work and they did not go ahead without my approval and a truthful estimate. I was always pleased at the outcome, and was never caught off guard by extreme prices that I have experienced at other repair shops.
Thirdly - The entire Staff was friendly and professional
From the service desk, to the mechanic, to the lot guy, to the receptionist, to the salesmen. They all treated me with respect and professionalism.
I have been to the Big dealerships in the valley that have several locations and the owner himself made fun of my lack of shopping the Internet, insulted my choice in a vehicle I was asking to trade in, and gave me some preposterous offer.
Fourth - The Car salesmen were very helpful, honest and not over bearing
My wife and I were looking for another vehicle and we stopped by there. The salesmen gave us all the info we needed and then left us alone. We went to one down the street and the guy was a joke, he wouldn't let us look. We ended up buying a car from a third party, but Gustmans will be my first stop always when looking for a vehicle.
Fifth - they are trustworthy
Our insurance company referred us to the other big dealership when our car was in an accident. Went went there because they were a provider. Our car was never the same. Until we went to Gustmans later because of a problem that resulted from the accident. Gustman worked with us to try to get the insurance company to pay. Gustmans ended up fixing what the other dealership refused too.
I really can't say enough about them. Gustmans is a dealership that is on a different level than the others in the Fox Valley. They are a full service Gm Dealer. So if you want Professional help with your vehicle needs, and want down to earth respectable people who make you feel valued, and give you a value of a deal - Then you should try them first and do what their slogan says, "Gotta Go to Gustmans"!
