When cleaning out a gutter, you will most definitely need a ladder. If you wanted to you could climb onto the roof to clean the gutter, however this is far too dangerous because you will be leaning over the edge of the house while you remove the junk and debris from the gutter. The best way is to stand on your ladder and move section by section down the length of the gutter. Do not try to stretch out while using the ladder because during the fall months the ground can be slick and the slightest offset in pressure can cause the ladder to slip and fall, which in turn can take you down with it.
The gutter cleaning brush is made up of strong bristles (similar to the bristles you would use to clean off the top of an outside grill). This brush will help clean up the tough to remove junk which has dried to the inside of the gutter. The gutter cleaning brush also has a slight bend to it, which will allow it to be used more freely in side of the gutter. You will want to brush in the path of the gutter because you will have more freedom to move than if brushing in the opposite direction.
The gutter grabber is a great way to extend the reach of your arm, which in turn will allow you to move the ladder less. The gutter grabber is an expendable pole, and on the end is a device which looks like a curved gardening shovel. This will help collect the leaves and other debris and pull the junk back to you, which will allow you to clean a wider section of the gutter faster. However, for tough gunk which has been building up on the inside of the gutter, you will need to use something stronger, like the cutter brush. The gutter grabber is only really useful for leaves and other objects which have not yet started to decompose.

Post a CommentI too have the Gutter Clutter Buster Kit and my family loves it. We have a lot of allergies and this tool keeps us from breathing in all the pollen, virus, mold, or mildew that settles in the gutters. Because it vacuums all debris directly into our vac canister, we never have to touch or breathe this junk. I'm sold as well. Great Job and kudos to the inventors! And, its made in the USA.
Got my brother the Gutter Clutter Buster for Father's Day and he love it. Cut his cleaning time almost in half and he says he loves not having to climb a ladder anymore.
