Guy Romance: If He Falls in Love

When guys fall in love, it doesn't usually happen in a snap. They go through a maze of thoughts with many different stages. Some stages lead somewhere, while others lead to dead ends.

If a guy is in one of these stages, you can be sure that the possibility of falling in love is very, very real. And although some may skip certain steps or go through them in different sequences, these are the usual stages a typical guy goes through when he falls in love:

The I-Can't-Get-Enough-Of-You Stage

On this stage, a guy is not yet in love, but is already bordering on admiration and infatuation. His girl will not occupy his thoughts all day, but when she passes by, she becomes the center of his universe. At this point, he is either scared to make a move because he is afraid of being rejected or simply waiting for the right time to express his feelings to the girl she likes.

The Thinking-Of-You Stage

This is one step beyond the I-can't-get-enough-of-you stage. Here, what goes on in his mind is the person whom he really likes. It's like a fever that won't go away no matter how much he distracts himself from other things.

The Too-Shy Stage

Although guys will always claim that they skip this stage, many, if not all, still go through it. This is the most confusing part for girls as this may be the equivalent of the hard-to-get act girls sometimes put on. Girls need to understand that it's just not easy for some guys to come up to them and express what they really feel. The problem with this stage is that the guy might go beyond not telling how he feels and simply distance himself from the girl he likes. Eventually, he will have to make a decision whether he wants to take the risk or just keep her as his friend.

The Hint-Dropping Stage

Finally, he decided to show his feelings after all. No, wait! At this stage, a guy won't actually say what he feels yet, but simple drop hints first.

For most guys, at this stage, they are not sure of what they are doing and would just act on instincts. They would try to get a feel of the situation and react as to how the girl reacts to them. One might still be undecided whether or not he wants to rake the friendship to the next level, so he tries to figure out how to show his feelings while keeping an emergency exit handy just in case the girl rejects him.

Final Stage: The Confirmation

This is usually the good night peck on the cheek after a date, the phone call the following day, or the invitation to a second date. Finally, the guy is sure about his feelings. He is sure that the girl he likes is actually worth the risk, rejection, and hurt. At this point, there is no more mystery as to what he is thinking. Surely, the guy has fallen in love. This is where his maze ends and where the maze inside the girl's mind begins.
