GV Lite Whipped Topping Review

Great Value is the Wal-Mart store brand of products. It is often referred to as the GV line. Among the fantastic products you can purchase from this line is Great Value lite whipped topping. This is a generic version of Cool-Whip that is comparable in quality. Great Value lite whipped topping is available in several different sized containers at affordable prices ranging from 67 cents to $1.50.

This is a fantastic product, I have been extremely pleased with Great Value lite whipped topping. After using this store brand product I would not even consider purchasing Cool-Whip again. The flavor is very similar and the store brand Great Value lite whipped topping is around 25- 40% less expensive. You will save money without skimping on quality with this generic product.

As you can imagine there are many desserts that Great Value lite whipped topping can be added to such as Jello, pudding, pies and ice cream dishes. I use Great Value lite whipped topping in combination with another great Value product, Creamy Peanut Butter to create a mouth watering dessert. This is not only delicious, but it is so easy to prepare that literally anyone can successfully complete this recipe.

Take a tub of Great Value lite whipped topping and unthaw it almost completely. Depending on how much peanut butter flavor you desire add from 3 to 6 tablespoons of peanut butter to the lite whipped topping. You can use reduced fat, creamy or crunchy peanut butter. Whatever you prefer. Stir the lite whipped topping and peanut butter together until blended well. If you are not serving this dessert within an hour, place it in the freezer, still in the original container until one hour before serving. When you are ready to serve the dessert dish it up in small dessert cups, you can garnish it with crushed peanut butter cups and drizzle chocolate syrup on top if you desire.

I will continue to purchase Great Value lite whipped topping for all of my dessert needs. I am not even ashamed to admit that sometimes I eat it frozen like it is ice cream. I would recommend this Great Value brand product to anyone who likes Cool-Whip, it tastes pretty much the same as the national brand product and it is more affordable. If you switch to Great Value brand lite whipped topping the only differences you will notice are the savings and the packaging.
