Gwyneth Paltrow -- Botox, Organic Food and Whole Grains?

Even Gwyneth Does It?

Did Gwyneth Paltrow use Botox ? The 38-year-old actress was seen in Beverly Hills, promoting her new film "Country Strong," with an extra smooth forehead, as reported at OMG!. Doctors have weighed in and suspect Gwyneth Paltrow has had Botox as well as lasers and fillers as reported at Hollywood Life.

Said board-certified facial plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Dayan, "Her forehead has an appearance consistent with someone who has been treated with Botox."

"She may have had some filler under the eyes and possibly the cheeks," said Dr. Bruce Katz, board-certified dermatologist and director of the Juva Skin and Laser Center.

Is it unusual for celebrity women to get Botox? Not at all. But some may be surprised to learn that Gwyneth Paltrow may have had Botox. This is a woman who has been very public about her desire to focus on natural food and a natural life, such as with her newsletter Goop.

"I think that part of the reason that our nation and the developing world is so sick is because we eat all these food products that aren't food. So I really like to eat food as close to a source as possible," said Paltrow.

But many people who eat natural, organic food, also choose only natural ways to look beautiful. They don't go for the Botox. As reported at CBS, "Botox is the brand name for botulinum toxin A, the poisonous bacterium that causes botulism and, in large doses, can be fatal. The treatment, using highly diluted amounts of the toxin, consists of injections into the facial muscles whose overactivity produces skin wrinkles, often prematurely. Botox weakens the muscle at the point of entry, diminishing its ability to contract and, thus, smoothing out the skin above."

The average cost of a Botox treatment, the most popular cosmetic treatment in the United States, is around $400 and it's not permanent. If you get a Botox injection, you'll need another one in about four months.

But Botox is a procedure that's hard to resist, mainly because it's the most effective for getting rid of lines and creases. Botox is a non-surgical procedure, but it's still a risky one, even by the best doctors. "Too much Botox in the wrong area can create distortions ranging from droopy eyelids and raised brows to loss of facial expression," reports CBS.

However, maintaining your beauty is extremely important for women in Hollywood. Your face represents your fortune, and when that goes, so does the attention. The fight to look as good as possible, for as long as possible, is a very real one for celebrity women. There are natural alternatives to Botox, but they don't work as good as Botox. Botox may be just a band-aid, but it takes care of the problem quickly.

Gwyneth Paltrow strives to live a healthy life, but she still has a career she cares about and red carpet events she attends. Nobody wants to look bad on the red carpet. If Gwyneth Paltrow had Botox, it's working for her, but for some celebrities, you wish they would have left their faces alone.

It's not necessary to go overboard like a Heidi Montag to fall victim. Many feel Megan Fox, for example, who is only 24, is a victim of plastic surgery. Her face looks different and not necessarily for the better.
