The total confirmed H1N1 cases in California jumped to 69 as of Monday afternoon, with 121 suspected cases, that includes 4 in Marin County and San Francisco County, and one in San Mateo County, according to California Department of Public Health's Website.
State health officials said earlier this afternoon that 159 probable cases of H1N1 Flu in California, including 20 in the Bay Area, according to KCBS Radio and KPIX-TV reports.
Two more Bay Area schools are closed on Monday because of H1N1 concerns.
On last Saturday, three Contra Costa County schools were also closed for the precaution after the students were tested probable for H1N1 Flu.
As of Monday noon, there are 15 schools shut down because of the H1N1 Flu. One school each in Alameda, and Marin Counties; five in Contra Costa County, and four in Santa Clara County.
In New York, CBS News reports the total number of H1N1 cases jumped to 90 on Monday, as New York Governor David Patterson announced 17 suspected cases have been confirmed.
CBS News also reported there are still hundreds of schools in the country closed because of this H1N1 virus.
The acting director of the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Richard Besser said he "was not ready to say the virus in the U.S. is in decline, although the latest news is encouraging".
Dr. Besser also said he expected H1N1 flu cases are reported each state across the nation, and may be more H1N1 deaths reported.
Meanwhile, CDC said the confirmed H1N1 cases in the U.S. are now 286, with 36 states are reported.
