One school in Mill Valley, along with another school in Berkeley is closed in concerns about the spread of H1N1 virus, according to KTVU-TV and KPIX-TV news reports Monday morning.
On last Saturday, three Contra Costa County schools were also closed for the precaution after the students were tested probable for H1N1 Flu.
As of Monday noon, there are 15 schools shut down because of the H1N1 Flu. One school each in Alameda, Marin, and Yolo Counties; five in Contra Costa County, and four in Santa Clara County.
For statewide, there are now 29 confirmed H1N1 Flu cases reported in California, with 130 probable cases around the state, according to California Department of Public Health website. The Centers of Disease Control's website reports there are 30 cases in California.
In New York, CBS News reports a school in Queens, where it is at the epicenter of the outbreak in the country, has been reopened on Monday.
CBS News also reported there are still hundreds of schools in the country closed because of this H1N1 virus.
The acting director of the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Richard Besser said he "was not ready to say the virus in the U.S. is in decline, although the latest news is encouraging".
Dr. Besser also said he expected H1N1 flu cases are reported each state across the nation, and may be more H1N1 deaths reported.
Meanwhile, the confirmed H1N1 cases in the U.S. are now 247, with 30 states are reported.
