H1N1 World Update

Not even two weeks later after the outbreak in the Ukraine, the Unites States is reporting the first cases of fatalities that reveal "bloody lungs" in the detailed autopsy reports. Iowa Dept of Health figures reveal twenty-seven deaths as of November 25^th. There are more deaths going unreported due to patient rights laws. Dr. Gregory Schmunk, Polk County Medical Examiner speaks in no uncertain terms about what he has found out about the autopsies conditions. "In the autopsy, what we're seeing is, very heavy, wet hemorrhagic lungs, lungs with a lot of blood in them."

Rumors are leaking out from unofficial sources on the internet that the numbers in the Ukraine are over 1000 and if this is true, major news sources are not reporting, including local Ukraine newspapers; just how severe conditions in the Ukraine really are. People across the internet say that over 1500 people have died in the past few weeks and that the whole country is in a state of lockdown.

The Blood filled lungs condition is caused by a cytokine storm in the lungs. Fluids, (blood) and cells accumulate greatly and cause blockage of the airways. In a normal, healthy immune system, the production of these free radicals is kept in check. In fact, the higher number of cell production is for the purpose of the body to fight off viruses. What is happening in the lungs of the victims in both the Ukraine and the U.S. could essentially be describes as the immune system on panic state within the body. Cytokine storms is the condition believed to have caused the Spanish Flu of 1918.

H3N2 and H5N1 mixed and recombined, forms a brand new more virulent strain. Baxter Labs admitted that they sent out tainted vaccine earlier in the year. The autopsies in the Ukraine due to this mysterious plague have the exact same characteristics as the ones found in Iowa; specifically, blood filled lungs. Could this be a possible link between the two events?

The information as to the possibility of side effects for the Novartis H1N1 vaccine, distributed in the United States, is in fact included right there inside the packaging. The insert that comes with the vaccine gives the usual warning that possible side effects include paralysis, neurological damage, sterilization. It also includes information that it has not been tested for pregnant moms and children under four. This is the very segment of the population that the Obama administration has been pushing to get vaccinated first. What needs to be done, before taking H1N1 vaccine or any vaccine for that matter, is to read the fine print.

The epidemic story continues. I don't believe anyone will be a bit surprised to find many more cases of this horrible plague breaking out in the next few months both here and abroad.
