Haiku for All Seasons

Driving Home from the Wedding

Rainy spring morning

A wispy stole of clouds drapes

The mountain's shoulders

Summer Evening Serenade

A cicada sings

As the dusk fast approaches

Call the children in

Autumn Reverie

Bright yellow and orange

Crisp and glowing against the

Blue-grey thunderheads

Winter Bliss

In my comfy chair

Snuggled in a soft blanket

Warm cat in my lap

My goodness - that Morag has a way of making remarks! Hey - thanks for the VERY funny comment on my article! Bible belt - another double entendre to match my buffet stuff! Very "tasty". LOL.

This is so fine, Bat, I can't pick a favorite one! Definitely the "wispy stole of clouds" that Nancy Tracy quotes, jumped out & made me gasp, but each sets its own tone so perfectly, I fell instantly into the mood you created. And you do so succinctly! Good titles you gave each segment, too.

Winter Bliss is my favorite, too. These are great. :)

This is great! Winter Bliss was my favorite though. Must have been the cat in the lap! ;-)

Loved all four but spring was my fave, "A wispy stole of clouds drapes...The mountain's shoulders." Got the chills that was so good! Your artist side comes through in your visual imagery.
