I was really excited to hear this, so now I'm going to tell you my tips to gain great hair!
- If you don't have to dye your hair, then don't! It only damages your hair! If you must dye your hair, then make sure you do a deep conditioning treatment at least two times a month!
- If you don't have anywhere to go for a day, then don't wash your hair, just let the natrual oils sit on your hair, this helps to condition your hair!
- If you are going to heat style your hair (with a hair dryer, curling iron, or straigthening iron) then use a heat protectant spray, as well as a thermal shampoo and conditioner (you can buy these for less than $5.00 at Wal-mart, Target, etc).
- If you don't want to spend a fortune on a clarifying shampoo you can use things that are in your kitchen (mix 1/2 cup cool water with a 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar). Just pour the mixture over your hair, and then rinse it out!
- If you run out of store bought conditioner then run to your fridge and pull out the Mayo, put some in your hair, and work it all the way to the ends. Make sure you rinse this out all the way or you will begin to smell! This is a great conditioner!!!
- Instead of highlighting your hair with harsh chemicals, you can use the juice of a lemon, just sit outside (when it gets warmer) with lemon juice in sections of your hair, and then rinse out once you've reached the color of highlights you want in your hair! The acidity of the lemon juice will also help cut the oily-ness of your hair! So it can be used like the Vinegar and water mixture!
- Never brush your hair while its wet, this only breaks your hair! If you must "brush" it before it's dried, use a very wide toothed comb!
- Try to not use too many products on your hair! Give your hair a chance to be "NAKED"!
- Wash your hair in warm water, and then rinse your hair in the coldest water you can handle, it will make your hair shiny without all those extra products!
After not having a hair cut in over a year, I still do not have split ends! I try my hardest to let my hair be in its most natural state, so it doesn't end up damaged!
So enjoy the tips and I hope you find some of these that work for you!
