When getting out of the shower make sure that you do not wrap your hair up in a tight towel. You're really supposed to let your hair air dry before you brush it. Using blow dryers is really hard on your hair. If you do decide to use a blow dryer I would suggest buying some type of deep therapy conditioner. No matter what you should always leave conditioner in your hair for at least 2 minutes before rinsing the conditioner out. I would always caution against using hair spray. Hair gel can be used and doesn't really affect your hair. Hair spray on the other hand builds up a residue like it does with anything it comes in contact with. Gels are a very good well to give your hair the wet yet stylish look and it's fast and easy to do.
I wouldn't use a curling iron on a daily basis but if you do I would use a deep conditioning overnight conditioner or therapy treatment. Instead I would suggest using hot rollers which do not burn your hair like when you see smoke coming up from the curling iron. Hot roller work a lot better and your hair stays curled all day versus a few hours. They are about the same price only hot rollers usually wont stop working. I would recommend looking through all of them and picking a brand which has plastic curles with a plug or some type of clip to hold the curler on.
I would also make sure that you get regular hair cuts. Trim off a little bit of the hair that is in bad condition- split ends. This doesn't mean that your hair grows faster. Hair grows the same speed no matter what. It doesn't grow faster or come in thicker just because you cut it. It takes good management to get your hair thicker and healthier. Dying your hair is the worst thing you can do to your hair. It will greatly thin out your hair. If your hair is getting too thin I would suggest dying your hair back to the original color or stick to strictly highlights.
