Hair Product Review: L'Oréal Dream Blonde Complete Color & Care System

Rebecca Smith
Many of us women will go to great lengths to look and feel beautiful. This being the case has created a multimillion dollar industry in both beauty and hair care products.

With so many hair care products on the market today, it can be pretty confusing on what may be the best to use when it comes to purchasing home hair coloring kits. There are many different brands claiming to do many different things. Over the past 15 years I have been coloring my hair and have used a variety of different products. I recently have tried a new product that just came out by L'Oréal Paris called Dream Blonde.

Each box contains one application of permanent hair color. Unlike other hair coloring kits this one includes shampoo, conditioner, pre-color moisture infuser and continuous shine crème along with the hair dye.

Before you apply the hair color, you use the pre-color moisture infuser. This protects the hair from damage. You use the infuser on all the ends of your hair. After two minutes you apply hair color all over your hair. Leave the color in as indicated by your strand test or directions included in the box. Once your hair color has matured to its finished state, you rinse until the water comes clean. Next you shampoo and then condition your hair. Dry and style as usual, then use a nickel size amount of the continuous shine cream and evenly distribute it throughout your hair.

For those who religiously dye their hair I highly recommend this product due to the fact that you get more moisture than other products and your hair feels healthier afterwards.

I personally love this product because of the shampoo and conditioner that was included. I have noticed a difference in my hair compared to other products I have used in the past.

The added continuous shine crème does work as well as the pre-moisture infuser. My hair feels softer and stronger. The only thing I did not like was the price. This product will cost you between $11 and $13 dollars a box. This may seem a bit pricy but worth the extra few bucks.

I have found that this product is carried by Wal-Mart and many grocery store chains also. Ingredients various depending on color. But all boxes heed same warning to all reading the following below.

Caution:
This product contains ingredients which may cause skin irritation on certain individuals and a preliminary test according to accompanying directions should first be made. This product must not be used for dyeing eyelashes or eyebrows; to do so may cause blindness.

I became disabled in 2005. Getting to a (not my regular hairdresser - to far to ask anyone to drive me} hairdresser to have my mousy brown and grey roots highlighted had become impossible.........but wait....faster than a turbo hairdryer..............able to jump hair rollers stacked 13 ft high in a single bound....came my rescuer....L'OREAL DREAM BLONDE!!!!
Now I have a box that has a sticker on it that says "limited supply, next time try L'oreal Preference #9". What the #%$!!. What is the scoop?? If you pull this product, I may only be one person but this one person can find plenty of other brands of beauty products to use from that time forth. What is your mission??? I don't get it!!!
    Thank you for your time,

after clicking up the photo larger, actually my hair has alot more yellow/brassy looking to the roots and my overall hair is lighter. so not really about the same. lol. I'm counting down for two weeks to go up so i can redo my hair. I just figure thats all the time I can stand like this. lmao. Good Luck Everyone who tries going blonde

Nice photo! Your hair looks great except that I don't really like how the roots turned out. Reason being, this is what happened to me. The rest of my hair was light blonde anyways, but my roots were darker. And when I finished with the dream blonde my roots turned out about how yours looks in the photo. I love the overall color but hate the roots. Maybe one more time of the same color will fix this?

I am going out with friends for lunch...I am blonde with about 30% grey...now I am really hesitant about trying it.
I bought a color called buttercup...medium blonde. It says leave on 30 minutes and it didn't sound long enough.

    Thank you all

This is actually my new box of choice. I have had good luck touching up my platinum. This last time though it's more ashy than usual. Was wondering if anyone had a similar experience?

I normally use Feria but reluctantly chose Dream Blonde. The product did not cover my gray and my color turned out very brassy. Requested a refund...Still waiting after two and a half months.

I made a error one day a grabbed the wrong tube to mixed it. Realizing I put the condition in I decided to go ahead and add the dye and mixed it all together.
Stores were closed so I had to do it. Not only did my color look great but it was well conditioned and felt very soft. I normally have very dry curly hair. I now to add the conditioner to the dye all the time. An additional plus, I only need 2 kits instead of three.
