Hair Spray Made with Sugar

How to Tame Fly Aways with Sugar Hair Spray

Philippa Lane
There are more ways to use sugar than in tea!

Yes, I am talking about hair spray made with sugar. I will tell you about my experience and how I made this special hair spray at home. It happened at a time when my hairstyle really needed some extra hold and I was out of the hair spray that I usually would use.

Since my hair is very fine, I did not want to go outside with fly away hair, which would not look very good on me; I really needed a product that would keep the fly away hairs in place and remembered having a beauty book that I had not read for awhile. As I strummed through the pages, I came across the chapter on hair. I read about many different homemade products that a person could use to condition and style hair, but what caught my eye the most was the word SUGAR! I thought to myself, is this true? How could sugar be good for hair, let alone be used to hold my fly aways in place? It was really quite simple to make a sugar hair spray. All that I had to do was mix some hot water and sugar, put it in a spray bottle, and apply it to my hair.

Sugar comes from the sugar cane. It is a class of edible substances, mainly lactose, fructose, sucrose, and crystalline.

To make sugar hair spray, you will need:

· 1 tablespoon of white sugar

· 4oz. hot water

· 4oz. spray bottle

Instructions:

Dissolve a tablespoon of sugar in a glass of hot water. Allow it to cool, pour the mixture in a spray bottle, and disperse the solution evenly onto your hair.

When I first discovered this easy, natural, and inexpensive way to keep my fly aways at bay, I was so excited, because I just knew that I had some sugar and water in my home. I thought, wow this is great! So, I went to my cupboard and took out some sugar, placed it in a tablespoon with some hot water, I let the mixture cool, and then proceeded to pour it in a spray bottle. I then shook it all up and sprayed it on my hair. You know, it really did work just like regular hair spray. Just simple sugar mixed with hot water worked great.

When chocolate is made from scratch, sugar is added to the mixture to help hold the chocolate together. I believe that sugar works the same way when it is mixed with hot water. When sprayed on wet or dry hair it helps to hold the hair together and really keeps the fly away hairs in place.

I highly recommend sugar hair spray to anyone who has fly away hair and is looking for an easy, inexpensive, and natural way to keep hair in place. If you do not want to spend a lot of money, why not try some hair spray made with sugar?

Sugar is so much more than a sweet treat to eat; it also helps keep your hairstyle in place and looking neat!

You can find sugar at most grocery stores across America and the world and it is also available on www.ebay.com for $1.00 and up.
