Hair Today, Bald Tomorrow!

Truly it is a mess

Not been cut for so long

Overgrown and in some distress

It's out of control

Some may say it resembles a mop

Whatever it looks like

It is in serious need of a crop

Previously it would be cut by myself

In those years before, I was quite able

As I get older, my judgement

My eyesight they become a little less stable

Until recently my wife would cut

My hair, keeping it trim and neat

It has grown long while she was away

I could not be seen out in the street

If I ventured outside

I could not go without my hat

That's fine in winter

As it gets warmer I will overheat

I would again cut it myself

But what if I cut it too short

Another piece left too long

Not the sort of thing to leave part done or abort

The way my hair grows now (or doesn't)

Not sure if I created another bald spot too big

Would it be able to recover?

Or would I have to resort to wearing, a wig!
