Hair Trends for Spring and Summer of 2010: Sex and the City 2 Inspired

Spring and summer 2010 hair styles are here! These styles are some of the coolest, most envelope-pushing looks that have been seen in a long time. Some of these amazing styles have been seen on the new Sex and the City 2 set. In fact, Sex and City 2 is all about the hair! There are ways you can steal some of these fantastic looks now.

Style Secret #1- It's all about the wavy hair coming up in spring and summer of 2010. These tousled tresses can be done in all lengths and various textured hair. One of the best ways to achieve this look is by using various sizes of curling irons. Simply put in your favorite styling cream or pomade and wrap your hair around the barrel of the curl, starting at the root. Spray with a flexible hold spray and tousle with your fingers. This sexy and natural look will be seen everywhere. Avoid formed and proper curls.

Style Secret #2- Headpieces of all shapes and sizes. This look can be done with headbands, clips, feathers, lace or a headpiece. Why not accent your new waves with a new headpiece. Headpieces are affordable and chic. Just be careful not to wear too much jewelry if you wear a strong headpiece. If you are extra creative you can even make some headpieces of your own. Go to your local craft store and let your imagination free.

Style Secret #3- Seal your hair cuticles to calm down flyaways. This is really important considering the soft looks of the 2010 styles. Remember that soft does not equal frizzy. One of my favorites is a Redken Serum called "Glass". Apply as much as your need focusing mainly on the crown of your hair and your ends. Ask for this product from your hair stylist.

Style Secret #4- The 80's are back and in a big way. Don't be scared! It can be done in a subtle way. Think a toned down "Poison" look. Maybe even consider just implementing the soft waves with a headpiece instead of extreme rock hair.
