Haiti Final Love Moments

Haiti Love Poem

Kaye Lopez
Imagine me without you,

in this scary world.

For there is no reason to live,

when a heart is bleeding.

Let us stop for a moment,

and savor our lives together.

Hold my hand as much as you can,

let me love you in return.

But, wait! Pause for a moment,

the world is shaking.

Wait, the end of the world is coming,

hold my hand forever.

Love moments amidst death,

is all that I could remember.

He grabbed me to life,

and allowed his soul to wander.

Now, I am alone,

in this love moments.

You died just to save me,

before your world should end.

Your poem does well to capture that bleak moment of history.
