Haitians Need Your Help! Ways to Give Right Now

TommiH
Tuesday, January 12, 2010 - Haiti was devastated when a 7.0 quake demolished their homes, land, food, and loved ones. It wasn't long before the body count began to rise, naming well over 100,000 individuals dead. With aid nearing in, today, January 20, only eight days after the devastating earthquake, Haiti was hit with a 6.1 aftershock.

The people of Haiti are in great need at this very moment. Many are injured, ill, and hungry. Many are trying to survive, care for themselves and those around them while grieving over their loss. Their homes, family, friends, and so much more lay broken. Old memories have been shaken and future dreams have been put aside.

Now is the time to rise up and help! I have composed a list of organizations who are taking donations for Haitian relief. Please give what you can, even if it is the smallest amount. The smallest gift could make a big difference!

Save The Children is taking donations right now. The donations go toward children and families for clean water and greatly needed medical attention. You can learn more about Save The Children and give a donation by visiting their website provided in the link below.
