Haiti's Orphans to Get Medical Attention in United States

Haiti's Orphans Who Were in the Process of Being Adopted Will Get Help in the United States

Pat Anthony
Some Haitian orphans will be able to get needed medical attention in the United States without further paperwork. The government will be allowing children who are being adopted entry on an individual basis.

This will only benefit Haitian orphans who are being adopted by American citizens. United States residents who were in the process of adopting children from Haiti when the earthquake occurred welcome this news.

Other children will not be granted permission to enter for medical issues at this time. However, some question when other children who need serious medical attention will be allowed into the country.

Many had considered their approved adoptions to be on hold due to the earthquake until now. In addition to the news that orphans in the process of being adopted will be allowed entry to the United States, a website to assist adoptive parents is available. Those who had their paperwork in order before the earthquake may use this information to gain further assistance. Please see the link for adoptions in process below if this applies to you.

Many Haitian orphans are currently being cared for by volunteer organizations. The estimate of how many new orphans exist due to the earthquake of January 12th is not considered accurate by most.
