HaLeigh Cummings - Missing Child Update

With all the twists and turns that keep coming up with the HaLeigh Cummings missing child case, maybe it should come as no surprise that a lawyer is comparing the case to a garage sale, but it is one more turn to the events of this mysterious case.

Last night on Jane Velez- Mitchell's show , Art Harris, Investigative Journalist reported "Jane, just a few minutes ago I spoke with Robert Fields, Misty Cummings -- Misty Croslin`s lawyer, who says she has revealed everything she knows to police. They have her story on tape. And they are now just waiting to hear back from law enforcement. He says, quote, 'It`s like a garage sale. We`ve put it all out there, and we`re just waiting for someone to buy it'."

Kind of a strange thing for a lawyer to say. But, this case seems to only get stranger as it goes along. HaLeigh Cummings was 5 years old last year when she was reported missing in the early morning hours of Feb. 10, 2009. Supposedly her father, Ronald Cummings had been working the night shift and returned home around 3 AM to find his girlfriend and HaLeigh's babysitter, Misty Croslin, waiting at the door. Misty told him she had just woken up and HaLeigh was gone from the mattress beside the bed Misty was sleeping on.

One month after HaLeigh was reported missing, her father married Misty. Then they later divorced and now both are in jail for drug trafficking. Because of the Florida Sunshine Law, tape recordings made during jail visits and phone calls are released to the public, as long as they don't hurt the investigation. Misty's brother is also in jail for drug charges. The case of this missing little girl keeps getting stranger and more mysterious as time goes on. The question is will they ever find HaLeigh? Will the truth ever come out about what happened to her? Misty, the last person to see her, can't seem to get the facts straight on what happened that night. And now with her lawyer saying it's like a garage sale, we are left wondering if she is ever going to tell the truth.
