Halloween Activities in Denver for 2008

Here is a guide to most - if not ALL of the events in Colorado for Halloween. There's monsters, pumpkins and ghouls ready to scare just about anyone. There's also plenty of fun activities for everyone, young and old.

Events for Kids

Elitch Gardens - Fright Fest 2008 (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October) and on October 11th, the pet costume contest.

Location:

Downtown Denver. From I-25, go south on Speer Blvd. (Exit Speer South). Turn right onto Elitch Circle. If you take the RTD bus or Light Rail, they both stop at Elitch Gardens.

Denver Botanic Gardens: Pumpkin Festival on October 11th and 12th - 9am to 5pm and the Corn Maze on weekends from September 5th to October 26th

Events at the Denver Botanic Gardens include:

Try a free mini maze.
Try barrel train rides and hay rides, available on select weekends
Try the haunted house called, "The Butcher" will be available for teens and adults

Admission prices to the Corn Maze:

$10 for adults
$8 for members, seniors, students and groups of 15 or more
$4 for child members
$5 for 3 to 12 year old children
Children under 3 years old get in free

Super Ticket prices for the Pumpkin Festival

$13 for adults, seniors and students with ID
$7 for 3 to 12 year old chiildren

Anderson Farms Fall Festival from September 20th to November 2nd and Terror in the Corn! from September 26th to November 1st

A wagon ride through the haunted corn
A trail of thrills through the corn
A ghost town filled with scares, special effects and illusions
Cemetary of giggles to make sure you have the last laugh

$15 for 4 to 12 year old kids and seniors, 60 and over
Terror in the corn could be too much for children under 6 years old

Haunted Houses in Colorado

The Asylum (From the end of September to the 1st of November)

Location:

120th and I-25 at Boondocks Fun Center
11425 Community Center Drive
Northglenn, CO 80233

Hours: 7pm to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and 7pm to 10pm on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

Admission prices:

$15 for general admission
$20 for VIP Fastpass

Frightmare (From September 26th to November 1st)

Location:

108th and Old Wadsworth

Hours:

Sunday - Thursday from 7pm to 10 pm, Friday and Saturday from 7pm to midnight

Admission prices:

$14 for general admission
$21 for VIP admission

Primitive Fear and 13th Street Manor (September 26th - November 1st)

Location:

5155 E. 64th Ave.
Commerce City, CO 80022

Hours:

Sunday - Thursday from 7pm to 11pm, Friday and Saturday from 7pm to midnight, Halloween from 7pm until the "last soul leaves"

Admission prices:

$15 for general admission
$20 for VIP access
