Halloween is one of the world's oldest holidays and is celebrated by millions of people in more countries than before. It was designed for good and harmless fun for the young and old alike. The most popular theory of Halloween is that it originated in the British Isles out of the Pagan Celtic celebration of Samhain. It goes back to 5 B.C., and was believed that spirits rose from the dead and mingled with the living on Halloween day. During the massive Irish immigration into America in the 1840's, it is believed that Halloween found its way to the United States where it has continued to flourish today. So it's a very popular celebration.
