First of all, what's Halloween without some candy? Fill your box full of goodies! Not just any treats, make them special! For Halloween, be sure to add accordingly accenting this wonderful holiday. For example, you could add dark chocolate M&Ms, eyeball gum balls, anything ghost related of course. Also, don't forget you can also make home made candy for your loved one across seas! Why not invest in some cookie dough and utensils to make some ghost shaped cookies? No matter what the shape is, you know your solider will love it!
Whats Halloween without a joke? Make your solider across seas laugh. After all, they don't call it "trick or treat" for nothing right? Why not throw something in there that will sure make them laugh! Why not a children's coloring book with assorted crayons! Make the coloring book of course festive for this time of year. Filled with pages of ghosts and goblins, and not to mention creepy spiders. There is no doubt they'll color in it sooner or later. Doesn't sound like a good idea? Why not buy some Halloween socks, shirt, or anything of the sort. I'm sure they'll get a kick out of it.
In all the scary movies, there's always the "scary music." invest in a Halloween soundtrack. Filled with moans and screams to really set the mood for this Halloween! These soundtracks can be found at any store that supplies Halloween decorations and such. What's Halloween without a scream? Give your solider something to play for this season!
Every man has his favorite horror movies! Get into the spirit this year, and send your loved one his or hers favorite horror classic! Rather it be "Nightmare on Elm Street", "Friday the 13th Series" and etc. Invest in these old classics to really show your Halloween side. I'm sure they'll thank you for it! As a bonus, these can be watched over and over! It doesn't have to be around Halloween to enjoy a good horror flick. No matter where you are in the world, give your soldier something to scream about!
Is your soldier a reader? If so, go to your public library and check into buying some cheap books for your loved one. Of course not just any books! Check and see if your local library has scary tales for your loved one. Most of the time, these books are rather cheap, and perfect for this holiday season. Your loved one will be in the spirit of Halloween, and have a few good stories to tell their friends along the way!
Bring back some memories this holiday season for your soldier . Look through your old photo albums and find a younger picture of yourself or them on Halloween! It will surely spark up old times of being young and carefree. Not them mention they'll have a new picture to hang up on their wall for old time sake. Don't have one? Ask his family! They are sure to have some old pictures you probably don't know about!
Red rose? Not during this time of year! Send them a black rose for this holiday season. They are fairly cheap at Wal-Mart. Most only cost a dollar! Show your loved one how much they mean to you by purchasing something different for this Halloween. Not to mention, another keep sake for them to look at and think of you.
Is this season your soldier's favorite! If it is, invest in some Halloween props for them to use! Send them masks, fake spiders and ghosts, fake webs, the works! They are surely to get into the spirit after opening the box and spiders fall out! Not to mention, something to decorate there room with this year!
This Halloween show your solider your thinking of them each and everyday. Put some thought into the care package you send for them this festive time of the year. Most of all, have fun with it! Happy Halloween!
