Halloween Costume Ideas for Couples and Groups

SE
If you are attending a Halloween party as part of a couple or group this year, you might be thinking of themed costumes. If you want something funny or a little original but are having trouble coming up with something, these ideas will get you going.

For a couples Halloween costume, try going as a priest and pregnant nun. Be careful that you won't be around deeply religious people who might take offense. Otherwise, it's funny. For an added twist, have a woman dress as the priest and a man dress as the nun. The priest just needs a black dress shirt and slacks, and nun costumes can be found at most costume stores.

Another idea for couples on Halloween is Thing 1 and Thing 2 from The Cat in the Hat. These costumes can be found at some costume stores or even online. This is a good idea if you just want something silly for Halloween.

Couples can also go as Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. If you want something that's "cute" without going overboard or being raunchy, this is a good pick. It's also a chance to show you're a movie fan.

For a group going out together on Halloween, try dressing as the cast of the Wizard of Oz. The Dorothy costume can usually be found in stores or online. Scarecrow costumes usually aren't hard to find either. The lion costume may be a bit harder to find in adult sizes, but sewing/craft stores should have a pattern and fake fur so you can make your own. A makeshift Tin Man costume could be done with tinfoil, or cardboard painted silver.

If your group wants something scary for a Halloween costume, try going as members of a sports team or cheer squad who were killed in a bus crash. (You may remember the not so intelligent dead football players in Beetlejuice).

Lastly, if you and your group need a truly original costume idea, go to your Halloween party as The Village People. I can almost guarantee no other group at your party will have the same idea. Cop, Indian, construction worker, and other costumes can usually be found separately.

If you are having trouble finding Halloween costumes near you, try looking at halloweenexpress.com. They have a pretty good selection. Other sites to consider are costumesupercenter.com or YourHalloweenCostume.com. Don't be afraid to get creative and make your own either.
