Halloween Costume Sales: Stock Up for a Game of Dress Up
Parents, How You Can Use Halloween Sales to Your Advantage
A large number of parents, such as myself, use old items and clothing pieces already found in their homes. This is often due in part to the high cost of dress up clothes. Depending on where you look, you could spend as much as twenty or thirty dollar for a princess dress or pirate clothing. As a parent, you may enjoy hearing that there is a great way for you to find cheap clothing pieces and accessories that can be used for dress up. That time is right before and after Halloween.
Many of us associate toy and accessory sales with the Christmas holiday shopping season. While you should be able to find great sales around Christmastime, you may also want to place a focus on Halloween. Typically, in the days leading up to Halloween and the days or weeks following it, many retailers will have sales on their Halloween costumes and costume accessories. If your child loves dressing up, especially as imaginary characters, this is a great opportunity for you.
When it comes to using Halloween sales to stock up on costumes, clothing, and accessories for a fun game of dress up, you may first want to visit your local retail stores. It is important to note that local stores are limited on the amount of sales floor space they have. They will want to move out their Halloween costumes and accessories to make room for additional merchandise, especially with Thanksgiving and Christmas quickly approaching. This often results in deep discounted prices for you.
You may also want to use the internet to your advantage as well. While you will find a number of great sales on Halloween costumes and accessories, you may not find as many discounts as you would locally. With that in mind, be on the lookout for any additional discounts, such as free or reduced shipping costs. In addition to visiting online websites that focus solely on the selling of Halloween costumes, you will also want to examine those of popular television networks and toy stores.
Another one of the many ways that you can find cheap dress up clothes and accessories is by visiting your local dollar stores. Many dollar stores have started selling Halloween costumes. While these Halloween costumes aren't elaborate, you may be able to find a police vest and badge or a princess wand and shoes, you may be surprised with what you are able to find.
Even if you are only able to find Halloween costume accessories or half costumes, which may have been separated, you may still want to consider buying what you can find cheap. If your child is anything like my daughter, he or she wouldn't mind at all. My daughter favorite costume is a half superhero, half princess combination.

I always shop on Nov 1 for costumes. The drug stores seem to be the best deals. I stock up on fairy wings.
