Halloween is just around the corner. If you live in Portland, Oregon and want to shop for costumes, you will need to visit a few different stores.

Spirit Halloween Superstores has several locations throughout the metro area. You can also shop online at www.spirithalloween.com. The variety of costumes ranges in price from $49.99 for a Fairy to $199.99 for a Batman costume. You can also find children and infant costumes such as Lil'Lion Infant Costume for $49.99 and Transformers Optimus Prime for $49.99. What Spirit has that other like Wal-Mart and Target, is the finest of Halloween decorations. You can purchase an Animated Hannibal Lecter for your yard for $249.99 and Frankencuted for the same price. There are smaller animated things like the Crawling Girl for $99.99. There are many other items available for Halloween costumes like makeup, wigs, fingers, teeth, masks and even scary music CD's to play with your smoke machine and scary tombstones.

Here at Party City, they boast to having thousands of costumes and that these are at incredibly low prices. The toddler costumes are things like Tootsie Roll Bunting for $21.99 and Hunny Bear at $29.99. They also have a Cow $24.99, Puppy $19.99. Adult costumes range such as Dorothy $34.99, Betty Rubble $390.99 and Snow White $39.99. For men they have things like a Victorian Vampire $49.99 or a Renaissance Knight $44.99. Party City also has all the accessories you will need for Halloween fun and treats. What you will find at Party City is other party items for your Halloween fun. Napkins, bowls, plates, balloons, and wall hangings.

Online here in Portland you can find - http://www.hauntyourhome.com/ They offer everything from Home Décor to Yard Décor, tableware and many books and information to highlight your Halloween party. You can create your own costume through this website by purchasing everything from the base portion to the makeup. Prices range from $11.95 to $43.95.

Many residents of Portland also find their costume items at the local thrift stores. Such as Value Village located on 82nd Avenue in Portland. There is a special section of costumes that can be purchased at low prices $4.50 for children Halloween Costumes and $10.00 for Adult costumes. On the other hand, you can make your own vintage costume with items purchased at the thrift store. Create a Vampire, Witch, Princess and more by just making small purchases of the dress, cape, wigs, and accessories.

However, these appear to be a little pricey for the materials and life expectancy of the costume.
